It's also recommended to install the British Voices (lhttseng.exe) as these are the default voices for the DesktopMates characters, although you can use any voices you have installed.
If you are running Windows 7 or above and are wanting to use SAPI 4.0 voices you need to download and install the L&H Text to Speech Engine (tv_enua.exe) from Step 2. If your already using windows 2000, ME, XP or Vista and are here for just an additional voice or language, you can skip Step 1. Windows 7 and above must use Double Agent instead of the Microsoft Agent components which is avialable on our new user start up and instruction page. The Microsoft Agent core components cannot be uninstalled and are an extension of the Windows Operating System and are already included as part of Windows 2000, Me, XP and Vista operating systems.
